Make sure you read this post in its entirety. There is something special at the end. 🙂
Natalie Grant, for those who don’t know–ok wait, if you don’t know then shame on you! HA! Just kidding. Natalie Grant is a well-loved Contemporary Christian singer. Natalie impressed me to the Nth degree when she walked out of the Grammys last year. I enjoy watching music awards show as much as anyone I know. However, it is incredibly difficult to find an artist to admire that has wonderful Christian values and morals. Too often we read a story on the internet or hear on the radio about another Christian artist accepting a lifestyle that is not acceptable to God. When Natalie walked out of the awards show, although she did not respond to one particular event or performance, she just stood her ground and addressed her Christian morals and beliefs. Psalm 101:3 says, “I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.” As I had mentioned, Natalie did not address the specific reason of walking out on the awards show, but did say, “….last night was a beautiful reminder that I love singing about Jesus and FOR Jesus…..and I will continue to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling before the Lord.” What a wonderful response to those who criticized her.
Recently, Natalie started a clothing and jewelry line. I was immediately hooked! Music, Clothing, & Jewelry – what more could a girl want?
I can not put into words how thrilled I am to have the opportunity of writing this post! I am beside myself right now. I’m as giddy as a little girl in a toy store! I got the chance to review NG by Natalie Grant!
Natalie has a wonderful selection on her website. Her shirts and jewelry are all scripture inspired messages that encourage you and give you peace. While parusing through her website, I read the following on the About Me section:
“I have always loved making a statement with fashion. Whenever I found a shirt that allowed me to wear what I believe, I would wear it out. Then I started to dream about taking some of my favorite, positive, full of faith statements and designing them on pieces I would wear every day. And so that’s what I have done.”
When I attended the Dove Awards last year as a Family Christian Book Store blogger, Natalie was there and I noticed something very near and dear to my heart. Her commitment to modesty is very inspiring. If you follow her on Facebook, Instagram, or other social media sites, she is always well dressed and modest. I thought she was gorgeous at the Dove Awards last year.
I have been drooling over her online collection for a while now. Did I mention I am elated with this opportunity to do this review? 🙂
Natalie sent me the White Cross T-Shirt. If you look closely at the cross on the t-shirt, you’ll notice the names of Christ on the cross. This shirt was inspired by her song “Your Great Name.” The design is meant to envoke comfort, strength and peace.
I wore the shirt to church along with a comfortable skirt and sandals. I am more in love with this shirt now than I was while looking at it online! The fabric is excellent quality. It’s definitely not one of those shirts that will tatter or tear after a couple washings. It is also so soft! This could possibly be my new favorite shirt. Of course, after I received this t-shirt from Natalie, I ordered this one:
Let’s just say the two shirts are in stiff competition for the title of favorite. LOL! It is going to be a difficult decision, but a decision I am willing to make….eventually. 🙂
I was also sent All Things New Necklace. I am super picky about jewelry. I don’t like wearing so much jewelry that it becomes gaudy. What I do wear needs not to be tacky either. I kept looking at Natalie’s necklaces online and LOVED the looks of them. So when I opened the box and saw the All Things New Necklace, I was so overjoyed! I love how this necklace looks and feels.
All Things New is based on Isaiah 43:19 and is a constant reminder that God is always renewing, remaking and restoring. I admire this reminder. As I wear this necklace, if things start to go wrong, it is an excellent reminder of God’s faithful promises.
When I was on Natalie’s website, I noticed another interesting, yet exciting link. Coming soon a kid’s clothing line will be added! Isn’t that awesome?
