I have gone from a skeptic to a believer of the Instant Pot. This miracle machine is wonderful and efficient and is nothing short of amazing! It makes cooking simple. The Instant Pot craze has grown considerably over the last several months and now it seems everyone has one or knows someone who has one.
When I received my Instant Pot, the first question I asked myself was “What do I fix in this thing?” There are so many buttons and, to be quite honest, I was somewhat overwhelmed at first. Whether you’re considering purchasing one, recently purchased one or haven’t quite figured out all the capabilities of the Instant Pot, don’t fret. I’m here to help and share how to work this magic pot of wonder!

Instant Pot Cookbook Suggestions

Speaking of scrumptious recipes, I present to you Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken.
Step 1: Gather all your ingredients for your Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken (see recipe box):

Step 2: Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, and ginger in Instant Pot. Stir well.
Step 3: Add chicken and mix in sauce. Close Instant Pot lid and seal steam valve.
Step 4: Use the poultry setting for 7 minutes. Let it depressurize naturally.
Step 5: Remove chicken from sauce and set aside. Stir in cornstarch to thicken sauce.
Step 6: Slice chicken and serve on top of rice, salad, or in a wrap. Drizzle teriyaki sauce on top for extra flavor.
That is all there is to it. You can be as creative as you would like to be.
Meals are so easy to prepare in the Instant Pot. I absolutely love using this magical gadget. Home cooked meals are easily prepared and not nearly as time-consuming as standing over the stove preparing the same meal. Also, as an added bonus, you have only one pot to wash!

Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 /2cup ketchup
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 -4tsp. cornstarch
- 1 -2lbs. thawed chicken breast
- Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, and ginger in Instant Pot. Stir well. Add chicken and mix in sauce. Close Instant Pot lid and seal steam valve.
- Set Instant Pot to poultry setting and cook for 5-7 minutes. Let depressurize naturally.
- Remove chicken from sauce and set aside. Stir in cornstarch to sauce to thicken.
- Slice chicken and serve on top of rice, salad, or in a wrap. Drizzle teriyaki sauce on top for extra flavor.
