Disney World is the happiest place on Earth for any Disney lover, but if you’re bringing your teens you may be concerned that it’s all going to be too young for them.
Most teens still enjoy the “younger” aspects of visiting the parks – the character meets, the classic rides, and of course, the Disney-specific treats! But there are also plenty of teen-specific things that you can do to make this a magical vacation for everyone.
Whether you have a thrill-seeker or a serious social media fan, here are some fun ideas for Disney World with Teens.

Finally tall enough to ride, teens will love the array of rollercoasters on offer at the parks.
Magic Kingdom is home to more rollercoasters than any of the other Disney World parks (Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Barn Stormer, Seven Dwarves Mine Train) but each of the others has at least one awesome roller coaster on offer (Hollywood Tower of Terror and Rockin’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios, Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom, and a few virtual reality rides at Epcot).
Cute food and teens are always a good match – and now that your teen may have a more sophisticated palate than when they were younger, you may enjoy some of Disney’s best restaurants and more gourmet offerings.
Eating their way around the world showcase – or checking off a bucket list of “Must Have Disney Snacks” may be a great challenge you can work on together.
Meeting Other People
One of the best things about Disney World is that it attracts people from all over the world – making for a truly eye-opening, multicultural experience.
Let your teen check out some of the hang out spots at the resort or even give them some space at the pool. If you’re using the dining plan, you can rest assured that they will be able to buy some food if needed and
Social Media Challenge
If your teen is a fan of any big social media site, they have probably noticed certain classic shots that people try to get at the parks.
From holding up a Dole Whip as a salute to the park, or jumping in the air in front of Cinderella’s castle, have your teen brainstorm a list of shots that they would like to get while at the parks and make it your mission to help them achieve them.
Purchasing memory maker in advance for your crew can make it so that your teen can grab these shots on their own, if they want to take a break from the group.
Star Wars, Wild Excursions, and More!
If your teen has a specific interest – Star Wars, wild animals, nature – encourage them to explore all that the parks have to offer! There are so many Star Wars attractions for the Star Wars fan, real safaris and wildlife experts on offer – there’s even white water rafting!
Of course, if your teen is a fan of shopping, an afternoon or even a day spent at Disney Springs would definitely go over well.
There are some great tracking-style apps that you can use on your phone if your teen wants a bit of space but you’re worried about how busy the parks get.
