Growing up I loved the Berenstain Bears, didn’t you? Well there is good news!!!
The cherished Bear family is coming to a new generation of toddler and preschool readers!
“Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962 and the Bear family celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012! The charming and lovable Bear family is once again introducing children to the typical issues and questions that they face every day.
In The Berenstain Bears’ Please & Thank You Book, little readers are introduced to the importance of manners, through gentle reminders given to Brother, Sister, and Honey as they await their milk and cookies. The shorter story length and well-loved characters provide toddlers a perfect introduction to valuable life lessons and routines.
The Berenstain Bears were a staple during my childhood. Although my children have all the fancy media at their fingertips, their childhood continues to be shared with this beloved bear family. I love having wonderful entertainment and resources that I can share with my kids that showcase good character building and family morals. It is even more special that I am also passing down a piece of my childhood to my children when we read the Berenstain Bears books!
The classic stories by Stan and Jan Berenstain are now being kept alive by their son, Mike Berenstain. The Berenstain’s, too, have passed on the family tradition. I am grateful because now I can have new stories to share with my boys.
I have told my boys more times than I care to count that they will get further with good manners. In the Berenstain Bears Please and Thank You Book, Brother Bear, Sister Bear and Honey learn this timeless lesson. It takes Momma Bear and Poppa Bear doing a bit of role playing, but they soon learn by the example that their parents show, and good manners will get them a lot further than poor manners.
This book is suggested for ages 2-5 but my younger two boys (age 6 & 8) love it. My youngest is really enjoying reading on his own. In fact, he has started a new trend in our house in which he and his younger brother like to take turns reading each other bedtime stories. The other night, Nemo (6) read this to Turtle (8). We all really enjoyed reading this book together as a family. Berenstain Bears Please and Thank You Book is now resting on Nemo’s bookshelf because he says it is his. 🙂 Most mornings he will quietly read this wonderful book to himself. I can not say enough great things about the Berenstain Bears Please and Thank You Book!
I give this book a 5/5! If you would like to buy a copy you can by clicking below.
